Do you love serving on search committees? Hate serving on search committees? Either way, this workshop is for you! Time spent on a faculty search committee can be an exciting opportunity to engage with and identify potential new colleagues. However, working with the search committee and facilitating an equitable search can be a challenging process. This workshop aims to provide an introduction to the equity search process, including specific examples and resources. Participants will leave with resources and a step-by-step guide that can be used, adapted, and applied immediately in their departments and on search committees. Together, we will reflect, discuss, and answer questions about the equity search process in a supportive environment.

Audience – faculty and staff, though all are welcome

This event is co-sponsored and facilitated by the UF Center for Teaching Excellence.
