Dr. Stephen Kimmel

Welcome to the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida! We are a premier department in one of the top public universities in the country. Our mission is to make scientific discoveries, educate others, and provide service so that we improve the health of the population. We do this through the practice of consequential epidemiology.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Welcome Dr. Guanhong Miao

Guanhong Miao, Ph.D., joined us on April 1, 2024. Her research focuses on genetic epidemiology, with a particular emphasis on developing and applying advanced methods to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying aging-related disorders, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
