About

What is unique about epidemiology AT uf?

Our department has been rapidly growing since being established in 2011.

The Department of Epidemiology is situated within both the College of Public Health and Health Professions and the College of Medicine at the University of Florida. Our faculty members hold joint appointments, fostering synergies that contribute to a robust and competitive research profile. This collaborative approach enhances the training of highly skilled students, providing them with exceptional exposure to diverse expertise.

Operating within two colleges, we play a pivotal role in the Academic Health Center, further reinforcing our commitment to advancing public health through research, education, and community engagement.

Our collaborations with the Colleges of Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine, seven major research institutes, and over 100 specialized centers of clinical expertise further enhance our passion for excellence.
