Research Interests: Range of studies related to substance abuse and mental health research with focus on assessments and intervention methodology. Implementation of evidence-based practices to improve mental health service delivery.
Why did you choose to complete a pre-doc fellowship at UF? Multi-disciplinary and in-depth research will be essential to understand health, access to care and outcomes, research training under my mentor at UF will help me address these issues.
Long-term career goals: To apply my research training at UF for preventative efforts particularly in substance use disorders and mental health problems, improve healthcare delivery and outcomes in resource deficient settings.
What philosophy guides your education? “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi.
What do you see as the most pressing public health problems facing the world today? Access to health care and chronic, non-communicable diseases.
