Why did you choose to complete your post-doc at UF? I wanted to be a part of large and diverse group of researchers. UF has a strong department of Epidemiology lead by Dr. Linda B. Cottler, who is known for her research contribution and mentoring acumen. Sikkim, a part of North East of India, has a remarkable position in world map because of the suicide rate and addiction disorder. This geographic region needs adequate human resources trained to carry out research in the needed mental health field. Receiving my training here will definitely provide me a step to fill the needs in Sikkim.
Long Term Career Goals: To contribute to the understanding of various correlations of different psychiatric disorders especially suicide, addiction and mental health problems of the elderly.

What do you see as the most pressing public health problem facing the world today? Addiction afflicting society; old age populous suffering both physical and psychological morbidities.
