UF recognizes Dr. Vaddiparti for 10 years of service

Dr. Krishna Vaddiparti, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, received recognition from the University of Florida (UF) for completing ten years of service and has made valuable contributions. He has been in charge of the MPH epidemiology concentration at UF since 2013 and coordinated the Fogarty-funded Indo-US Training Program on non-communicable diseases until 2019. He played a pivotal role in establishing a strong international partnership between the Department of Epidemiology and institutes and research scientists in India. Due to his outstanding contributions, Dr. Vaddiparti was nominated twice for the PHHP International Educator of the Year award.

Dr. Vaddiparti has a background in social and psychiatric epidemiology and is currently conducting research on medical cannabis as a treatment for PTSD and sleep outcomes, HIV stigma, and substance use and gambling disorder. He also serves as the faculty lead of Community Engagement at SHARC.
