What do you look forward to most as a future epidemiologist and your career in epidemiology?
I aspire to become a physician-epidemiologist: conducting impactful mixed-methods research in partnership with patients and communities domestically and internationally, to inform clinical practice and health policy.
What inspired you to study epidemiology?
I am passionate about epidemiology because, in my eyes, it is rooted in values of human dignity and social justice: that all people are deserving of health and happiness. Epidemiology is inherently dedicated to identifying health disparities with the intention of informing interventions to rectify these disparities and improve the health of as many people as possible. In other words, it is a field that seeks to do the most good for the most people.
