2:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to Content and Assessment Design

Via Zoom:

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an evidence-based framework to improve learning for all students. Instructors can use UDL to promote self-regulated learning with their content and assessments by clearly demonstrating their relevancy and providing variety. Courses should also include representation that both reflects the diversity of the community and gives students an opportunity to see themselves as experts in the field. Participants will practice designing learner-centered assignments to promote metacognition and equity.

Presenters: Heather Maness, Allyson Haskell, Laura Jervis, Instructional designers

Audience – faculty, though all staff and students are also welcome
