Lopez-Quintero lab students present at CUR Symposium

On November 3rd, seven undergraduate students presented their research projects at the Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) Symposium. The students are working with Dr. Catalina Lopez-Quintero, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology, and other members of her lab on research that primarily addresses drug use and COVID-19 related disparities. Students, mostly from underrepresented groups in science, meet weekly at the Research Initiatives on Substance use & Equity (RISE) Lab to discuss their individual research projects, and biweekly at the Study of Teen Opioid Misuse and Prevention (STOMP) Lab meetings to participate in career development activities with peer mentors and lab faculty.
