Dr. Weihong Tang from University of Minnesota presents “Epidemiologic and Genetic Risk Factors for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Venous Thromboembolism in Population-based Study.”

Dr. Tang’s career has focused on the epidemiology and genetic epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and associated risk factors, including abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), venous thromboembolism (VTE), inflammation, hemostasis factors, and other cardiovascular biomarkers, and have published more than 100 articles on these topics. Dr. Tang has been a principal investigator on multiple NIH-funded studies on AAA and VTE, and is currently leading an NIH R01 study on AAA proteomics and R21 study on Alzheimer’s disease.
