Cheng receives CTSI pilot grant

Dr. Ting-Yuan (David) ChengDr. Ting-Yuan (David) Cheng, assistant professor in Epidemiology, recently received a UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) Precision Health Initiative pilot grant for his proposal, “Body composition and high-plex protein expression profiling to inform breast cancer therapy and prognosis: A pilot study in OneFlorida.” The study will pilot the feasibility of collecting archived computed tomography (CT) images, tumor tissue samples, and clinical data for patients identified in the OneFlorida Clinical Research Consortium database. The study will also assess the adipose and muscle tissue predictors of tumor markers to discover potential signaling pathways.
