This year’s Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) in Epidemiology had different activities throughout the week of April 2nd-6th. On Monday, an all-day treasure hunt! Gold “doubloons” were scattered around the department for students to find! If found, students were able to receive an additional prize. On Tuesday, games were set up in Epidemiology’s Hallway, from checkers to bean-bag toss, everyone was welcomed to participate. Wednesday, was the ice cream social, where faculty assisted with making the delicious treats! Thursday saw a baking competition, from cookies to cheesecake were featured. During the week, everyone was encouraged to take their best photos and send them to Research Assistant Professor Krishna Vaddiparti PhD, MPE, MSW, for judging. The winner of the photo contest was Vicki Osborne, and the winner of the bake-off was Mocha Cheesecake made by Abigail Hummel! We are so happy that Epidemiology provides a nice culture of togetherness for students.
