Doctor of Medicine, Universidad El Bosque, Bogotá, Colombia
Specialist in Epidemiology, Universidad El Bosque, Bogotá, Colombia
Master of Science, Infectious and Tropical Diseases, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá, Colombia

Hometown: La Guajira, Colombia
Research Interests: I am interested in infectious diseases epidemiology, especially transmission dynamics and modeling of dengue and other emerging infectious diseases. Dengue is the most rapidly spreading mosquito-borne viral disease in the world. That is why we need to do research about the dengue transmission dynamics in the countries more affected, and model the impact effective interventions to control this disease.
Long-term career goals: I will plan to use all I learn in this graduate program to do apply research about prevention and interventions in infectious diseases of global impact.
